Strip it down and build it up

I'm still catching up with my posts so here are some quick photos to give you an idea what's been happening over the last few months. I talked about the beam a few months ago. Here are a couple photos as it goes up.

Loads of the walls came down. At one point you could see from our master bedroom, through the ensuite bathroom and straight to Jada's room:

And below is a series of photos to show the general progress on the house:
Second floor bathroom plumbing
looking through to the main floor below.

The kitchen getting framed in. The old door's there
soon to be replaced by french doors.

And here they are...the french doors (one of them).

We moved a claw tub from the basement up to the top floor family bath.
Note the cutouts in the wall for shampoo, etc.

Our kitchen "floor".

The hall light works now!

This is the master bedroom looking toward the ensuite.
That greenish stuff is the insulation that's been sprayed.

A passage leading to the backyard.
We're sealing it up and turning this space into a cold room/wine cellar.

We've had a lot of these signs in front our house for the last few months.

Dry wall arrives! That crane managed to haul it right up to the top floor door.
Not my most rivetting blog entry, but I'm trying to catch up to where we're at with the house. More to come...
